The second edition of the Nagpur Kala Sangh, supported by Yuj Arts Foundation, kicked off on 21st September with the theme "Transcending Boundaries." The festival, inaugurated by Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari, IAS, Commissioner of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, opened with a traditional lamp lighting and a captivating folk dance performance by artists from Shri Kala Mahavidyalaya.
This year’s edition features over 140 art installations, sculptures, paintings, and photographs by students and alumni from Sir JJ School of Art and Shri Kala Mahavidyalaya. Highlights include the "Kala Car" installation, the Basement Art Project, and a variety of workshops including clay pottery and saree weaving.
The festival boasts significant collaborations with UNESCO New Delhi and the New York-based Arts for the Future Festival, further emphasizing its global reach. An Artist Mentorship Program offers emerging talent a chance to learn from renowned creators. The month-long event also includes exhibitions, poetry, music performances, and an artisanal bazaar.

Each day, the atmosphere was charged with energy as aarti ceremonies were performed, inviting the blessings of Lord Ganesha for prosperity and happiness. Associates, visitors, and fellow members came together to participate in the daily rituals, creating a strong sense of community.
As the festival reached its peak, a special Satyanarayan Pooja was conducted on the penultimate day, followed by a grand Maha Prasad feast, which brought together associate brands and members of the VR Nagpur family in a spirit of unity and gratitude.
The festival culminated in a vibrant Prasthan Visarjan Sohala for VR Cha Raja, where a traditional Maharashtrian dhol group led the procession, filling the air with rhythmic beats and dance. The farewell to Lord Ganesha was marked with emotional yet joyful moments, as we sought his blessings for the year ahead.
